Two days of WJFK

Posted by Ryan in Blog

It’s after my second day of work at CBS’s WJFK. I love it. The first day was busy and like all first days go I didn’t have a clue what was going on. I knew how to do my job (more-or-less) just didn’t quite get the grasp of everything at first. Today went much better. I think I’m going to like it a lot. We had a manager meeting today where I had to introduce myself in front of all these people (most of whom I hadn’t met) and that was a little nerve wrecking. But, all-in-all it was good. It’s a lot more relaxed than I thought it would be. Everyone keeps asking me if I want to leave yet. Nope. Hell, it’s fun. Hard work doesn’t scare me, but boredom does.

Tomorrow is another day. I’ve been getting to bed really early lately. Two nights before 11:30. Damn, I’m getting old. Tonight probably won’t be different. Oh well.

DC and Me

Posted by Ryan in Blog

Well, I’m here. I’m all moved in, the apartment is all set up. Well, I have to put together a dresser for my bedroom (gonna take forever) but that’s all. It’s kind of nice, my apartment provides free satellite TV with every premie channel I could ask for. I’ve been driving the roads most of the time I have been here just to get used to the area and the traffic. I don’t think it’ll be much hassle as long as I stay off the Interstates. I81 isn’t that big of a deal, but I66 and I95 (along with the loop and inner loop) I’ll pass on driving on much.

I think today I’m going to get ready for work tomorrow. I really have no idea how these people will be. They seemed cool when I went to interview so I hope that continues.

I wish I had someone to hang out with to kill all this boredom.
